At long last - some time to get this blog finalised. Apologies in advance for its amateurish nature and what I'm certain will be its many mistakes. Rather like piloting a narrowboat I think.
Its purpose is a simple one - to share with you the sights that we are seeing and the experiences that are bringing us so much pleasure. Some of you will know this country well and for you, I trust that the blog re-kindles fond memories. For others, it will be a glimpse into places as yet undiscovered, and as such, I hope that it may inspire you to explore and experience for yourselves.
So, drop in on us from time to time ... comment if you'd like, and as Anthony Bourdain noted "Travel isn't always pretty. It isn't always comfortable. Sometimes it hurts, it even breaks your heart. But that's OK, for the journey changes you; it should change you. It leaves marks on your memory, on your consciousness, on your heart." I've no doubt that we'll see all of that.

It was great speaking to you last night on face time. You seem to be having an amazing time. Half your luck. The weather looks miserable, and looks very much like NZ when I go there to see Helen and family. It always seems to rain,, Matanuska seems such a long boat. You would certainly have to take care driving, in case you ended up sideways. Lol Anyway this is just a short reply to thank you for phoning for my Birthday. Take care and we look forward to travelling with you. Make sure you stay free of the Coronavirus
Love Liz ❤️❤️
